When Gary Martin Golf decided to test the Spoiler Stealth OG, it wasn’t just another putter review. (Watch Here)
He opened the video by referencing a bold statement — that Rick Shiels had called Spoiler the best putter he tested in 2025. Gary made it clear: that’s a massive claim. And one worth putting to the test.
So he did.
From the first look, the Stealth OG sparked curiosity. The face design is undeniably different — yet when Gary and his playing partner set it down at address, the reaction was surprising.
“It doesn’t actually look too unconventional.”
That’s important. From above, the Stealth OG presents like a traditional mallet. You don’t see the unique Lead Edge Roll face design when you’re standing over it. It feels familiar. Stable. Balanced. The black-on-black finish and red alignment line drew praise as well — clean, modern, purposeful.
Then came the first putts.
“Wow. It does come off… end over end.”
Both testers kept returning to the same observation — the first two feet of roll.
“You can feel it.”
“It definitely rolls nicely.”
“That first foot, it almost feels like it’s just straight on the ground.”
Gary put it plainly:
“I’ve never tested any putter that I’ve felt rolled as well over that first maybe like two feet.”
That’s the core of what Spoiler is designed to do - produce earlier forward roll. No skid. No backspin.
Just pure roll.
And you can see it.
But the review didn’t shy away from the other side of that coin — the truth benefit.
On a few strokes where there was forward press or a slightly steep strike, the ball reacted differently.
“That one just jumped a little bit.”
Gary quickly identified what was happening: this is not a putter that hides your delivery. If you your stroke is deficient, the ball tells you. Immediately.
“I definitely think there’s a method of how to use it… different to your standard putter.”
“I think you’ve got to have a nice shallow stroke… not steep onto it.”
That feedback is the point.
Spoiler isn’t built to compensate for flaws. It’s built to reveal them — so you can improve them, and truly craft your putting skills.
When the strike was centered and the shaft neutral, Gary was clear:
“When you hit that at the center ball, it rolls better than a full face for me….It’s like the purest start of a putt you’re ever going to get.”
That’s not marketing language. That’s a reviewer trying to describe a sensation he hadn’t felt before.
He also commented on the engineering and value. He examined the finish, materials, and build quality closely.
“It looks good quality.”
“I don’t think they’ve skimped on any of those sort of things.”
“For [the price], I think it’s brilliant engineering quality.”
The Stealth OG isn’t priced as a gimmick product. It’s precision-designed, USGA conforming, and engineered around physics — not trends.
As for who it’s for? Gary was honest.
“This is not something that’s going to suit everybody…For a mid and low handicapper, someone who likes to practice, they’d get the most out of this putter…They’ll never feel a ball roll as well in them first couple of feet.”
That aligns exactly with who Spoiler is built for.
Golfers who care about craft and skill.
Golfers who want feedback.
Golfers who actually want to get better.
Gary didn’t rush to crown it after one session. But his conclusion was telling:
“I can see why Rick Shields has said [it’s the best putter of 2025].”
“There is definitely something about the roll on it.”
“Just something I’ve never felt before.”
And that’s the Spoiler difference.
You don’t just hit putts with it.
You pure them and learn from them.
Pure roll. Real feedback.
Become a better putter.
