Best Putter 2025 — H.I.T. AwardsBest Value Putter 2025
The ball starts rolling sooner
That is the whole idea. The Spoiler OG has a patented Lead Edge Roll face at 0° of loft — less launch, less skid, less sidespin, and immediate feedback when your stroke is off, so you actually get better instead of guessing.

How it works
Three things happen in the first two feet
Step 1
The face meets the ball lower
A rounded leading edge at 0° of loft contacts the ball beneath its equator rather than lifting it. No launch, no backspin to overcome.
Step 2
Forward roll starts sooner
Less skid means less time sliding across the grass unpredictably. The ball tracks the line you read for more of its journey.
Step 3
You see what your stroke did
If the strike was inefficient the ball hops a little. That is the signal most putters are engineered to hide, and it is how you improve.
Face technology
Lead Edge Roll, patented
Traditional putter faces carry 2° to 4° of loft on a flat plane. That launches the ball slightly, adds backspin, and produces a skid before forward roll begins.
Spoiler’s face is engineered the other way: a smaller rounded leading edge, no loft, and a contact point lower on the ball. Earlier forward roll with less skid and less sidespin, which shows up as better start-line accuracy and better distance control. The grooves run the full width, cut deep enough to minimise friction against the cover while still delivering a solid feel and a clean sound.
Design principle
It is not designed to putt for you
Most modern putters stabilise, counterbalance and compensate. They mask imperfections in your stroke — and in doing so they hide the information you would need to fix them.
Spoiler was built for golfers who want the truth. When the stroke is inefficient, the ball hops. You adjust, you watch the next one improve, and the improvement compounds. Owners describe an adjustment period of a few sessions before this clicks, which is exactly why the guarantee runs 60 days rather than 30.

“The putter has changed my game on the greens. Putts start on line and stay there.”

I asked everyone this question
“I am a pretty decent golfer, but terrible putting execution… this putter no joke saved me 8-10 strokes on the first day.”

Great feedback
“I play a coarse with fast greens. I was getting inconsistent distance from my previous putter. My new spoiler has my touch back.”

The guarantee
60 days to actually learn it
Spoiler was built to show you the truth about your roll, and the only way to experience that is to roll it. When it arrives: take it to the practice green, play a round, spend real time learning what it is telling you.
If it is not what you were promised, send it back inside 60 days. Free shipping on US mainland orders, dispatched within about three business days via UPS Ground. Fire-sale items are final sale.
Yes. Spoiler putters conform to the Rules of Golf as published by the USGA. The rules cap maximum loft on a putter, not minimum.
OG or Riv Blade?
Match toe hang to your stroke. The OG has 20°, best for a straight-back, straight-through or minimal-arc stroke. The Riv has 60°, best for a moderate to strong arc. The Riv is also heavier at 372g with a marginally larger face, so it is a little more forgiving and gives more of a direct hit sensation.
What skill level is this for?
Both ends, for different reasons. Better players sharpen distance control and start-line accuracy. Higher handicappers use the visible feedback to diagnose a stroke that was previously invisible. Published reviews come from every handicap band, 0–5 to 20+.
How long before it feels normal?
Expect a genuine adjustment period. The face is deliberately unforgiving of poor contact, so early on you will see hops on strikes your old putter absorbed. Owners typically describe a few practice-green sessions plus a round or two — which is why the guarantee window is 60 days.
Do I need a fitting?
No. Choose hand and shaft length, 34 or 35 inches. Left hand is currently available in Stealth only. Spoiler also offers a free putting analysis: send a slow-motion video of your stroke via Instagram @SpoilerGolf or help@spoilergolf.com and they send back tips.
Shipping and returns?
Free shipping on US mainland orders via UPS Ground, typically dispatched within about three business days. Delivery time varies by location. International orders may be subject to import fees. Returns run through the 60-day guarantee; fire-sale items are final sale.
